Getting up and running
There is a wealth of subject information and research advice on our website.
Find all the resources supported by the Library on OneSearch including full-text e-journals, e-books and physical books.
Contact your Subject Librarian for specialist advice and help.
If you need anything for your research which we don't hold here, we should be able to obtain it for you via Interlending and Document Supply.
And finally, for all that basic information about when we're open and how to borrow books, see the handy Using the Library guide.
Training
The world of information provision and research is changing every day, to get the most out of your time here at Lancaster you will need to change with it.
We run a number of courses to support you in your studies - check our guide to Library Training Courses
Using other University Libraries
As a postgraduate student you will be able to join more than 170 other University Libraries around the UK. The scheme is SCONUL Access and we can provide you with a membership card, just call in the Library during staffed service hours or contact us on (01524) 5-92516 or l.pickles@lancaster.ac.uk
More details can be found in our Using Other Libraries guide.

Are you studying at a distance?
The Library supports a wealth of electronic resources including full text databases, e-books and e-journals. You can access these from anywhere, just log into Onesearch using your University IT account details.
If you're a distance learner and the material you need is not available electronically, contact our distance learning team or your subject librarian. If we can't make it available electronically we'll post the book out to you.
For more information about how we can support your studies, see our guide for distance learners.
