Celebrating Pride 2023 in the Library

Queer by Gum crafting event

Date: 1st June 5- 8 p.m.

Location: Library Events & Exhibition Space

As part of Lancaster University Library’s celebrations for PRIDE this year, we are holding a ‘Craft Club’ event in collaboration with ‘Queer by Gum’. This will involve a presentation from Queer by Gum group about their work followed by an art and craft workshop!

The art produced from this event will then be displayed in our stairwell exhibition space from the 12th to the 18th of June.

Celebrating Pride book display

Date: 12th - 18th June

Location: Library A-floor Stairwell

Browse our display of books curated to celebrate and recognise Pride at Lancaster University, including fiction and non-fiction work about the LGBTQ+ community. New titles about more diverse categories within the LGBTQ+ community are highlighted.

You are welcome to browse, sit and read, or borrow any of the displayed books.

Thank you for your suggestions of resources that have helped us to build our collection in celebrating and exploring the lives and culture of LGBTQ+ people and enhancing the visibility of the community. Our book display showcases part of the works, and we highly recommend you browse our Pride reading list for more online resources.

We hope you enjoy our Pride book display!
