Databases are collections of journal articles and other resources. You may prefer to search for articles and other materials in a specific database, rather than use OneSearch, especially if there is a subject-specific one. This will mean you will only be searching for and retrieving results from within your specific discipline.
Databases enable you to construct a more complex search and have advanced functionality which help you to find and organise relevant material.
Most article databases contain the full text of articles, but some are indexing/abstracting/bibliographic databases contain only the details of journal articles. Click on to see if the full-text is available.
