Downloading PDFs:
PDF downloads from BSOL incorporate a digital security feature. You are required to have FileOpen plug-in installed on your device to download and print all BSI documents. Adobe Acrobat or Reader is also required to view the documents on Windows and MacOS. Note that PDFs will not open in-browser - you must download and save the PDF to open it.
On University PCs, sign into Acrobat first, close it, then launch the FileOpen package from AppsAnywhere & follow the instructions.
If you encounter an error, check that your browser is set to download PDFs and open with Adobe, rather than open automatically in-browser.

Aerial Digimap provides access to some of the highest quality aerial photography available for Great Britain, created and licensed by Getmapping plc. Access is convenient and on-demand to a range of interactive tools, allowing interrogation and analysis of the data online and offline. Data is available to view, query and print in Aerial Roam and available to search and retrieve in Aerial Download. Aerial Roam allows you to view detailed aerial imagery at various fixed scales. You can also: add annotations (text, point, lines and areas); identify image capture date by clicking on the map; generate PDF, PNG or JPG files for printing; save maps to go back to or print later.
Aerial photography has a multitude of uses including backdrop mapping and context for a wide range of studies. Ideal for looking at the reality of a location in great detail, the aerial photography available is 25 cm vertical ortho-photography and is available for the whole of Great Britain. The dates of each location will vary, according to what was flown by Getmapping in any given year. By default, the latest version for any location is shown in Roam. Earlier versions are available for download.Aerial Digimap has found uses in coastal zone studies, archaeology, urban studies and town planning, historical studies looking at change over time and habitat change among many other uses.

Environment Digimap is part of the Digimap Collection of on-line mapping and data delivery facilities. Users can view maps through their web browser, save maps for printing and download environmental map data for use in geographical information systems.
